"At Restaurant Navi in Yarraville, we were fortunate enough to have the Renault Kangoo E-Tech for two years, and it proved to be a genuinely practical vehicle for our small business.
The load space was the first thing that won us over. We use the van for produce pickups and regular runs to the Mornington Peninsula, and it handled everything we needed to carry without compromising comfort. The two-seat cabin is well laid out, with smart storage throughout — it never felt cluttered even on a full day's work.
The Kangoo handled the regular trip to the Mornington Peninsula and back from Yarraville comfortably on a single charge. Charging couldn't have been simpler — we just plugged it in on our home charger overnight and it was ready to go the next morning. No trips to charging stations, no waiting around. And if you do need to top up on a longer day, a short stop at a fast charger is all it takes before you're back on the road.
With the recent spike in diesel prices, we were genuinely glad to have an EV option. The day-to-day running costs were noticeably lower, and the Kangoo's efficiency on longer trips made a real difference for a small business watching its expenses.
It's a van that does exactly what a van should: it carries what you need and fits where you need it to go. It's easy to handle, comfortable on longer runs, and compact enough to park without drama in the inner city, which matters when you're doing pickups in tight streets.
